About Us

Welcome to The Silver Bohemian — a soulful space where creativity, healing, and storytelling come together in the most unexpected and beautiful ways.

I’m a military veteran, a healer, an artist, and a lifelong gatherer of stories. This journey began not in one single moment, but through a series of deeply human experiences: love and loss, grief and grace, and the slow unfolding of what it means to truly come home to yourself. After losing my first husband to ALS, I was called toward massage therapy, which became the foundation of my work in wellness. From there, I wove in sound therapy, restorative yoga, essential oils, and art — not just as practices, but as ways to help people reconnect with stillness, peace, and presence.

At The Silver Bohemian, we honor life’s seasons and stories — the worn edges, the quiet strength, the pieces we hold onto. Through upcycled clothing, jewelry, paperweights, candles, and preserved florals, I give new life to cherished items. Every creation is rooted in intention and designed to carry meaning — whether it’s a jacket stitched with your mother’s fabric, a candle inspired by emotional alchemy, or a one-of-a-kind gift that says, I thought of you today.

Our wellness offerings are just as intentional. With each class, session, or ritual, my partner Jim and I create spaces for reflection and renewal. Together, we’ve cultivated a community that values self-care, storytelling, and connection — without pretense or perfection.

I believe healing happens in layers. It lives in the scent of sandalwood during meditation, the clink of a charm from someone you miss, the way fabric can become an heirloom, or the sound of a crystal bowl inviting you back to yourself. And I believe that everyday thoughtfulness — a handwritten note, a shared moment, a meaningful gift — is a radical kind of love.

Thank you for being here. Whether you're looking for a grounding ritual, a keepsake made from memory, or just a pause in your day, I hope you find a little bit of yourself in this space.

With love and gratitude,
Porsha Chalmers
